There are only seven 5 star hotels in Belgrade. Considering its size this is not a sufficient number. Belgrade lacks another 3,000 rooms to be able to compete with cities of similar size in the region.
Exploring the location of these 7 luxury hotels, I've noticed that six of them are on the right bank of the Sava River, in Old Belgrade.
Only one of them is on the left bank of the Sava River, in the New Belgrade district, only 15 minutes from Nikola Tesla Airport.

Location Convenience of 5 star hotels in Belgrade
Although there are not many of these hotels, their most favorable feature is their position. Most of them are located in the very center of the city.
Most of these hotels are located in the immediate vicinity of the top Belgrade tourist attraction. Some of them like Square Nine Hotel are only 50 m from the Kneza Mihailova pedestrian and shopping district and 100 m from the Kalemegdan Fortress.
Others are located nearby cities' cultural heritage buildings like the Temple of St. Sava or near important museums like the Museum Nikola Tesla.
Almost all 5 star hotels in Belgrade are easily reachable by public transportation means like bus or trams.
Seven 5 star hotels in Belgrade
1. Metropol Palace

It's one of the rare hotels of this level with rather very convenient prices. Couples and business people particularly like the location. They rated it 8.8.
