The Belgrade Beer Fest takes place near Ušće (Confluence of Danube and Sava rivers) – the venue of Belgrade Beer Fest. This park is one of the largest parks in the capital. Although close to the city center and traffic, this park is a true oasis of peace.
This park is also known as Friendship Park; founded in the '60s when a group of Young Gorans came up with the idea to establish a memorial park that would symbolize peace and equality for all people.
On September 7, 1961, the opening ceremony was when Josip Broz Tito planted the first plane tree. In the central part of the park, there is the Alley of Peace with 26 plane trees – a symbol of peace.
Not far from this park is the Zemun quay, located in the municipality of Zemun. This quay lies on the right bank of the Danube. It is one of the most famous promenades and, at the same time, the most favorite place of Belgraders.
